Cart Before the Horse...

I had a conversation with a potential client yesterday. She wants to change careers but had no clue what she wants to do. I told her I would not take her project until she made her decision. She got agitated and told me another writer was willing to take her project... 

Point of the story - With employers seeks employees with specialization, hiring managers are gearing the candidate search in a specified direction. In addition, scanning tools are geared to ID key terms that directly relate to to desired qualifications of the position. In short, if the resume does not SCREAM your specialization, you probably will be disqualified from that particular role. 

Therefore, BEFORE you write your new resume, make a decision what you what to pursue, not the other way around....
