Almost 50% of all applications come from Job Boards, followed by Internal Career Sites (35%). But less than 1% of candidates who apply for jobs through job boards and career sites are offered the position.

Therefore, is using a job board / company website an efficient use of your time?  Given the statistic, the answer is no.

Therefore, the best way to find a new job is NETWORKING.  Spend more time networking and less time sitting in front of your computer gazing at Glassdoor and more time making new contacts through friends, colleagues, trade events, etc.
