Cover Letters

Cover Letter - Just my Take.

Failure to dedicate time and thought to writing a cover letter could result in disqualification because you:

1. Failed to represent why you are qualified for the position (list of skills and successes)

2. Many employees use the cover letter as a tool to determine the level of interest (note - many applicants fail to submit cover letters, even when the posting specifically requests a letter).

The cover letter remains important. Those that say it isn't probably have a hard time writing one. Do not fall into that category.

Unless the posting specifically states "resume only", always submit a resume and letter.
