PARALEGAL
A paralegal who performs specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible. Paralegals work in law offices, corporate environments, governmental agencies and large non-profits. Paralegals assists with case planning, development, and management, legal research, interviews clients, gathers facts and retrieves information, drafts and analyzes legal documents and collects, complies and utilizes technical information, to make recommendations to an attorney. Paralegals are more involved with the actual technicalities of the law, whereas legal assistants undertake broader tasks.
Educational Requirements
Most hiring managers are seeking a bachelor’s degree and / or a paralegal certification.
