New Way to Job Hunt (Continued)

Continuing on my thoughts from this morning...ATS has changed the game drastically for job search. The majority of the resumes fall into a black hole and the candidate has no understanding of why this happens.

If the employer charged for applications submissions (colleges do and have for decades), the employer would get less applications but the applications received would be more qualified. The company talent pool would improve drastically, resulting in a faster interview cycle and undoubtedly, better candidates.

As a candidate, you need to make an investment in your job search as opposed to "spray and pray". For the company, better candidates, faster turnaround, improved organizational performance and improved employee relations and engagement, esp. since the application fee goes to a charity.

Is there a company out there willing to try a new idea as opposed to relying on ATS algorithms?
