Most jobs require potential candidates to conduct background checks, which include employment and education verifications, criminal records and yes, credit checks.
Companies will use a third-party business or the government to verify potential employees. That said, it could take an extended period to receive the results.
Therefore, it is a good idea to "google" your name as part of your due diligence to make sure everything is accurate.
