Career Management

 Survey says that 6 of 7 people who search for jobs, receive an offer, get a counteroffer from their current employer and decide to stay:


1. End up leaving with one year anyway.


Why you ask?


Simply stated - did the problems / issues that lead to the initial job search really go away:


1. Bad boss

2. No career growth

3. Vastly improved compensation

4. Poor products / services for clients

5. Inferior technology


In order the counteroffer was a patch for problems that likely did not disappear. This is not about compensation, this is about career management.
