Market Sector Growth - Job Search 2026 - Food and Beverage
2025 was not a banner year in F&B as labor shortages caused by immigration policies (esp. for back of the house staff), mgt changing the "tipping model" that has resulted in a smaller pipeline for workers and the trend of consumers dining out less and spending less on alcohol appears to be trending towards continuation in 2026.
As restaurant closures continue to increase because of high costs, low margins and changing consumer preferences, managers are forced to rethink the guest experience, now to improve processes and revenue models. In short, the industry is gliding into uncharted territory that will only drive down labor demand.
