Vacations – Do not believe the employee handbook. Vacations can always be negotiated.
Benefits Coverage – The company can negotiate more favorable rates with insurance companies for your family members than you can secure on your own.
PTO – You can negotiate PTO with your boss, especially if you have to leave the office for family or health-related reasons.
Signing Bonus – Can be used to help defray the cost of benefits as well as lower base pay.
