Job Relocation


Job Relocation
If your new / current employer is asking you to relocate, you need protection if the relocation runs afoul (company closes / layoff).  Be certain to negotiate a severance package the includes a hefty payout if you are dismissed without cause (i.e., laid off).  Relocating poses risks, but a new hire / transferee is exposed to a number of other risks through no fault of his/ her own (company misunderstands the market, company is old).  You must have protection via negotiating for severance (and relocation back to where you were or any other location).
