Job Market Issues - Economic Factors that Affect Job Search

Companies are anxious about the effects of the vast amount of change that the US has experienced in the last 6+ months, esp. the uncertainty about tariffs, fears related to immigration law and issues pertaining to the wars overseas, not to mention the effect of artificial intelligence in daily operations. In times of change, companies, just like people, "grip" and get more conservative in their spending.

When there are less jobs available in the market place, there is less movement (employed professionals do not want to leave a secure situation for a new opportunity and risk layoff on the "last in / first out (LIFO) methodology.

All in all, until the issues that have affected the country stabilize, look for less spending and a retracting job market, as we have experienced in the last several months.
