Objective Statements

If you buy into the notion (and you should) that the most important part of the resume is the content above the scroll line, then you should trash your objective statement and write a professional summary.  The "objective" is obvious - TO GET A NEW JOB!  If your summary makes it apparent to the reader(s) what your qualifications and the skills that you bring to the table, then there is no need for an objective or "fluff" statement.
