Veteran Workers - How to Market Skills and Successes

While I believe that "experience is gold" because experienced professionals "work smarter", many veterans lack the perspective to properly market themselves to employers.  Their marketing campaigns should start with their "network" (people who know what they offer), then their resume (only last 10 - 12 years) of detailed experience and examples of qualitative and numerical value that they have achieved.  The cover letter is important and should not be ignored; the letter should stress updated skills, business efficiencies and professional, attributes that younger competitors very well may lack.
