Anybody that knows me understands my feelings on the subject of "Open Networking". Basically, Open Networking is when you are willing to accept any and all "requests to link". While it sounds harmless, the following ramifications are:
1. Endless stream of contacts for independent rep positions, insurance agent opportunities as well as jobs where you can "work-from-home"
2. Cluttering of your inbox with useless information
3. Dilution of your "network" with people who provide no value
As a marketer, I learned to keep my database clean. Your database on LI is no exception. Do not "link" with anybody who cannot add value to you professional career or the careers of other contacts.
