How does ATS work?

 In short - The overwhelming majority of applicant tracking systems (ATS) work as follows:

Upon uploading the resume, the ATS will parse your information into a centralized database. It scans your data (name, city, state, zip code, education, work experience, job titles, certifications) and transforms these into structured, easy-to-scan, and searchable content.

If your resume does not include this experience, esp. education, you will likely be disqualified from consideration.
