Before calling / emailing a recruiter, whether it be on LI or otherwise, do a little research first. Do not ask:
"What openings do you have?"
You will get no response. These folks get so many requests from unemployed persons who are not working within the recruiter's specialty that they are not going to answer random, thoughtless questions.
Be respectful of the recruiter's time. Remember, their time is valuable and they are employed by someone else, not you.
