Job Prospects in an AI-Influenced Marketplace
Deep Thoughts:
If company's are laying off "white collar" workers because automation / AI is now able to do this work at a cost far less than paying salary and benefits, will this trend, which is likely long-term, force parents to make better decisions about how to address the ROI of a college degree for their children.
While some degrees will continue to hold value (i.e. electrical engineering, scientific concentrations), what will be the value of degrees in fields (ex. communications) where jobs are getting sliced?
