Resume Format - ATS
Your default is always submit the resume in a .DOCX format. Keep the formatting simple (single column (no graphs, charts, logos, tables, pictures), and use standard fonts (I like Arial or Calibri).
While ATS programs are able to handle .PDF file, save the .PDF version to submit when you follow up with a recruiter (unless the web interface indicates "upload your .PDF here".
