Understanding the Basic Principle of ATS

An applicant tracking system (ATS) compares the text of the job description that you have uploaded into the interface against the text of the resume that you have uploaded. This is the ONLY way any ATS tool can conduct an evaluation.  If you are using JOBSCAN and only uploaded your resume and not a job description, you wasted your time.  If you uploaded both but opted not to target your resume (change the keywords and headline), again - you wasted your time.
