Why AI Resumes Receive Negative Feedback (Part 1)

Why AI Resumes Receive Negative Feedback (Part 1)

For the remainder of the week, I will be publishing information about why AI-written resumes are seen as a negative my hiring manager.

Suspicious Metrics: Fabricating or over-optimizing impact numbers and keyword-stuffing that fails basic human scrutiny during interviews. Suspicious or fake resume metrics—(i.e. -perfectly round percentages like "improved efficiency by 200%" or inflated financial impact that doesn't match a candidate's seniority—are easily spotted by recruiters and AI screening tools, instantly destroying the candidate's credibility.

If actual number or percentages aren't available, describe changes, improvements in process efficiencies (e.g., reducing a daily 5-minute task to 1 minute) or the process of a sales cycle / product introduction / upgrade where your collaborative produced a positive result.
