If a picture is deemed a qualification for employment (i.e. models), then a picture should have relevance in a search. Otherwise, the requirement of a picture can be defined as a violation of employment law. If the search algorithm incorporates a picture into relevance factors, LinkedIn may be in violation of federal and state employment laws and not realize it.
