Background Checks

With information so easily accessible during the Internet age, background checks are common place. ADP says the number of background checks it performed for companies rose 24% in Q12011 as opposed to the same period in 2010 and continue to increase daily What does this mean for you?

1. Do not lie on your resume.
2. Handle all potentially dangerous issues in the interview, including past terminations, credit issues, jail time and stints in rehab.
3. Make sure your dates are accurate.
4. Do not intentionally leave out positions on your resume that you have held since 2000.
