Networking

Networking takes time. If you are networking to find a new job, expect this transition to take a while (Rome was not built in a day and job search cycles take time). It is safe to assume others are doing the same thing. Make a positive impression by following up regularly; however, be careful not to pester. One way to manage this balancing act is to focus on the other person when you do the follow-up.
