Not be be dramatic, but 2021 has been a nutty year on my fronts. The trickle down effect is that, as related to employment and the job market, hiring cycles are wacky as companies are adjusting to WFH demands, delayed office reopenings, etc.
Usually, hiring slows after Thanksgiving and then picks up the second week in January. Professionally, from what I see, I do not expect hiring to slow down until about one full week prior to XMAS (Monday December 20 - Friday December 24), then it will pick up again the ~January 7.
Why? There are too many positions that need to be addressed before calendar year budgets kick in for 2022. Companies are short - staffed and cannot afford to stop the process, esp. with open job requisitions.
All opinions are welcomed / encouraged.
