The EXPERIENCE section on LI must include your experience dating back to your college graduation or 10 - 12 years, whichever is shorter. Be wary of ageism. If you are senior level, you can go back further in time but be careful - going back 25 - 30 years will likely make you a victim of age discrimination. This is a huge issue in today's job market - do not dismiss the notion. Ageism rears its ugly head from ages 18 - 80 - I see it every day.
Remember - LInkedIn is not about getting a job; it is about getting the interview, validating your achievements and expanding your network (not always in that order).
Include achievements and skills; be certain your job title is consistent with the job title in the resume.
