There is no universal ATS standard. Most ATS can parse the text if submitted in an acceptable format (.DOC/.DOCX), and some can apply AI logic to the parsed text.

FYI - Never submit a .PDF version of your resume into a web interface unless the instructions indicate that a .PDF is accepted. Why, most scanner can parse protected content

Since you never know what the capabilities of the system will be, be conservative. Do not add graphic elements, tables, multi-column formats; submit your resume within the best practices described above. If you go outside the box, it is a crapshoot regarding the ATS being able to read your document.
