Research, Research and More Research

There is so much information available for public consumption that it baffles me that job seekers do not spend more than five minutes to learn about their job targets, job classifications of interest, competitive companies, salary ranges and names of hiring managers.

A job search takes time and effort.  You need to make the effort and do some "homework".  If you do not do the homework, it will show up either in the interview process or the salary negotiation phase, should you get that far.  So, do yourself and your family a favor - do some research before the interview.
