... more than a "thank you" note. We should all note that a follow-up note is obligatory after an interview and yes, this note should be customized. However, take the note one step further and include 1 - 2 "selling points" that you feel need to be emphasized or were not covered in the interview.
The reader know who you are. Give them more "good stuff" to chew on but do so within the context of the letter.
