In an article I read this morning, one CEO stated "If this person can't take the time to do basic research about this company, how do I know he will do the research necessary for every other meeting he would be attending as an employee?"
It is your job as a candidate to learn all that you can about a company to which you apply by checking out the company website, Hoovers, LinkedIn, Facebook company pages, WSJ archives as well as through simple Google searches. Utilize the power of LinkedIn to learn about the people who will be meeting and perhaps report to in the hierarchy.
