Now that phone interviews have become the norm,
candidates need to understand that the phone conversation should be
treated as an integral step and not be viewed in a cavalier manner.
Therefore, I advise all of my clients, when speaking with a
recruiter or potential employer on the phone, it's best take the call
on a land line instead of a cell phone. Nothing is worse, especially for
your blood pressure, to have your call "dropped". Cell phone
technology has changed our lives but it is imperfect.
Be conservative and find a land line for these calls.
