Job titles are important! The job title enables colleagues (in office, vendors, partners, customers, etc) to understand the work you you provide and to a certain extend, the level of experience.
But also keep in mind that companies manipulate job titles in order to lower compensation levels. Therefore, always under the complexities and responsibilities of your job / job you seek and make certain you are compensated correctly.
