Before you decide on a career change, be honest with yourself and make certain there is some connection. I work with clients all the time who are frustrated with their jobs. However, the choice many make for a career change is so abstract and unrelated to their skills, they are setting themselves up for failure / disappointment.
In short - no connection, bad idea.
